What is Aequitas?
Aequitas Health is a national honor society with the goal of identifying, recognizing, and developing future physician leaders to address health inequities. No more than 10% of the class may be selected as an Aequitas fellow. Fellows collectively decide upon and complete one community advocacy and/or research project to improve health equity in Southern Arizona and they publish the results of their project in the Aequitas e-journal and/or present the results at a national conference.
More information about our chapter:
The UACOMT Chapter of Aequitas was founded in 2022. Our inaugural class of fellows did a project addressing reproductive justice and assessment of community needs. Check out their Annotated Question Bank for Reproductive Health Needs Assessments!
Once again, congratulations to our new fellows!
