Message from the Directors
Welcome! The most enjoyable part of our jobs as Program Directors is working with enthusiastic young students over the course of their six to eight years of training in the combined degree program here at UACOM-T. Our job is made easier by the outstanding caliber of students who come to UArizona and the exceptional clinical and basic science faculty who teach and mentor them. The main goal of the program is to support the educational needs and career development of the students to the best of our ability. We are very proud of the culture and family that we actively enrich within the MD-PhD program.
We believe that the MD-PhD Program at UACOM-T provides excellent and impactful dual-degree training while giving students the opportunities to grow as both individuals and independent physician-scientists. At UArizona, you will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and immense support from faculty and staff across the University. At the same time, we hope to challenge you to excel and develop areas of interest and passion throughout the duration of your time in Tucson.

Message from Current Students
Hello! We are so excited for your interest in our school and hope that this website can help give a glimpse of what the UACOM-T MSTP program has to offer. As senior students in this program we can wholeheartedly say that we could not be happier with our decision to join the UACOM-T family—and we are just that—A FAMILY! Our program prides itself in supporting a uniquely diverse group of students on their path to becoming physician-scientists. Our MSTP students are known to be exceptional leaders in the College of Medicine and the Graduate College who are dedicated to upholding the strong tradition of care, discovery and education at our institution.
Our student committee structure allows for students to have an active voice in the direction of the program and to ensure support at every junction. We are immensely grateful to have program leadership who allow for active student engagement and truly listen to the desires of our students.
We believe that there is no better training than that of the UACOM-T MSTP Program and are excited to be a part of the next generation of physician-scientist leaders. We look forward to meeting you soon and introducing you to the rest of the UACOM-T MSTP community!
